The Fall "Primal Challenge" is Upon Us!

We at Full Range are excited to announce that we will be bringing back our very successful nutritional program, the 21-Day Primal Blueprint Challenge, starting on October 31st.This challenge is for anyone that wants to feel better, look better, and learn about how our daily habits outside of the gym affect our overall health and fitness.  Rather than focusing solely on the things you should avoid, our goal is to help participants ADD in things that they are not currently getting (like an abundance of high quality foods, good sleep, and taking time to unwind). The Primal Blueprint was developed by Mark Sisson, of Mark's Daily Apple.  His approach is simple to understand, and allows plenty of room for variation from person to person, depending on your individual needs. From the Primal Challenge homepage:"Everyone wants to eat good food, be active, and enjoy all that life offers. Everyone wants to be healthier, fitter, happier, and more productive. But no one wants to endure a lifetime of misery and hard work just to get there. Luckily, hundreds of thousands of people have already discovered that it’s actually really simple, that it doesn’t require suffering and sacrifice, and that just a few foundational changes to the way we approach food, exercise, and life can transform our health and wellness for the rest of our lives."What is does the Primal Challenge entail? It's very simple. For 21 days, we will help you to:

  1. 1. Eat real food.
  2. 2. Avoid sugar, grains, unhealthy fats, beans/legumes.
  3. 3. Align your carb intake with your weight goals and activity levels.
  4. 4. Get 8 hours of sleep every night.
  5. 5. Get 15 minutes of direct sun exposure each day.
  6. 6. Play! Find time to let go, disconnect, unwind and have fun each day.

Don't worry, you will not be on your own in this. In fact, one of the most important pieces of this challenge is the support of your fellow participants (your "Primal Peeps").  Our private Facebook group for the challenge allows people to share their struggles and their successes, as well as gives a forum for recipes, articles, and other fun stuff!  We will also be holding weekly meetings and bonus challenges throughout, to help provide you with as much support and education as possible. Here's what some of the folks from our last Primal Challenge are saying:

"After finishing the challenge, I was amazed at the result. Besides the weight loss, I credit the challenge to have helped my fitness progression, and I smashed my personal record on the Baseline workout."-Hampus S.

"Being part of a group has never been something that appealed to me when it comes to fitness or a diet challenge...until now.  I was really shocked by how much I appreciated and thrived with such a supportive group of people that participated in the challenge.  Hearing about everyone else's struggles or successes really kept me motivated throughout the 3 weeks."-Breanna J.

"I without a doubt feel 100% better. I feel well rested, hydrated, regulated and just generally positive. Though the point of the challenge wasn't necessarily a "detox" it definitely ended up being one. We took all processed foods out of the house and began cooking so much more. It was great to participate both physically and mentally."-Nathan L.

***We will be holding a brief informational meeting and Q&A next Wednesday, October 19th, at 7:30pm .
