The 2023 CrossFit Open at Full Range

Mark your calendar — the Open starts February 16th!

The CrossFit Open is a worldwide, online fitness competition that serves as the first stage in qualifying for the CrossFit Games.  Anyone, anywhere can complete the workouts, submit their scores, and get ranked against others in a variety of divisions based on experience level, age, location, and even occupation.

The goal for 99% of the people completing the Open is to have fun, and maybe to see where they stack up against others in a friendly, supportive way.  The workouts are completed at your own gym (so, at Full Range, if you’re reading this), with the people you already know.

There is a smaller subset of people that will be using the Open to qualify for the next stages, and we love that aspect of it as well.  Some people base their entire year of training around this part of the season, and it’s always amazing to see the performances that are put on when the stakes are high.

As in years past, we will be hosting the Open workouts on Friday nights, starting with Week 1 on February 17th, and continuing for three weeks.  If you can’t make Friday night, you can always complete the workouts at another time between Thursday (when they are released), and Monday afternoon (when the scores are due).

We will be giving more information over the coming weeks, including detailed instructions on how to register, as well as FAQs for those that are on the fence about taking part.  Stay tuned, and get ready!
