Presenting The Functional Nutrition Project - Fall 2015

6 Weeks to Look Better, Feel Better, and Develop a Nutritional Plan that Fits YOUR Life

At Full Range, we are always trying to develop the best systems for getting our members fitter, healthier, and leading a better life, in and out of the gym. We are extremely excited and proud to announce our latest evolution in this process: The Functional Nutrition Project. This "project" is a brand-new, nutritional coaching and accountability program designed to combine individualized diet and lifestyle coaching with a fun, supportive, group-based environment.Running in 6-week modules, our first group will start on Monday, September 21st with photos and a workout, and end the same way on Monday, November 2nd.  Along the way, you will be receive:

  • An initial consultation and assessment to understand your goals, and lay out how best to reach them
  • A TON of education surrounding food, lifestyle, and recovery
  • A private online forum mediated by Coaches Adam and Alecia
  • Follow-up meetings and ongoing support from your Coaches and fellow participants

Be prepared to learn how to live a healthier lifestyle, make lifestyle changes, and maybe even figure out the real reasons why you haven’t been able to lose weight or improve your performance in the past. While the goal of this program is to get everyone involved on the right path FOR THEM as an individual, we will also have several familiar "challenge" aspects kept intact.  There will be a scored workout at the beginning of the 6-weeks, which will be repeated at the end.  Participants will also be voting on who has made the most dramatic changes in their before-and-after-pictures.  There will also be mandatory, habit-based "homework," and activities throughout the project period. This program is open to both members of Full Range and non-members alike, so if you have any friends or family interested in participating, please have them contact adam@fullrangecrossfit.com for more information. For current members, click here to sign up today!

F.A.Q.

How will this be different from other nutritional "challenges" (Whole30©, Whole Life Challenge©, etc)?

Most challenges are based on giving a strict set of rules that participants must adhere to and, in doing so, end up giving the same nutritional prescription to everyone, regardless of their current status or life situation.  Our goal in developing the Functional Nutrition Project is to provide an individualized, incremental approach to creating lasting change in our habits and the way we approach diet and exercise. So, while we will provide opportunities for people to "win," (participants will vote on the most dramatic changes in "before-and-after" pictures, and there will be prizes for those with the most improvement on the baseline workouts), this is definitely not your typical "challenge."

What will our nutritional recommendations be based upon?

Combined with our years of experience in coaching fitness, this project is the product of several main sources:1) Our experience in the OPEX Coaching Certification Program. Through their certification courses in Nutrition and Lifestyle Coaching, Coaches Adam, Alecia, and Assistant Coach Josh have learned how to effectively integrate sound nutritional principles into client’s lifestyles, as well as how to align these principles with the goals of the individual.2) Our past success in teaching and implementing Mark Sisson's Primal Blueprint (which we highly recommend familiarizing yourself with, if you are interested in eating, feeling, and looking better).3) Coach Adam's experiences in preparing for, and implementing the resources learned from his certification in Sports Nutrition by the International Society of Sports Nutrition (C-ISSN).

How much does this cost?

The entry fee for the Functional Nutrition Project is $99 for six weeks of learning and accountability coaching.
